1. Who we are

Agrivise Pty Ltd ("Agrivise", "we", "us") operates the website agrivise.app and the Agrivise farm advisory platform. Our registered address is in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

2. What we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Farm profile: your region, farm name, crops, cost structure, and paddock details — entered by you to personalise advice.
• Usage data: pages visited, queries sent to the AI advisor, and feature usage — used to improve the product.
• Device and browser information: collected automatically for security and performance monitoring.

3. How we use your data

• To provide personalised AI advisory responses grounded in your farm numbers.
• To display live commodity prices, spray windows, and satellite imagery relevant to your region.
• To send account and service notifications (never marketing unless you opt in).
• To diagnose bugs and improve reliability.

AI queries: Your questions are processed in real time by Anthropic's Claude API. Query content is not retained by Anthropic beyond the session under our API agreement. Agrivise stores your query history only to display it to you within the app.

4. Data storage and security

Your data is stored in Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL databases in AWS Sydney (ap-southeast-2). All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. We use row-level security policies to ensure users can only access their own records.

5. Third-party services

Agrivise uses the following external services to operate:

• Supabase (database and authentication) — Sydney, Australia
• Vercel (hosting and CDN) — global edge network
• Anthropic (AI inference for the Advisor feature) — data processing agreement in place
• Bureau of Meteorology, Open-Meteo, CBOT/CME, Copernicus ESA (read-only public data feeds — no personal data shared)

6. Your rights

Under Australian privacy law you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Export a copy of your farm profile and query history.

7. Changes to this policy

We will notify users of material changes by email and by posting an updated policy on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
